New TSA Rule … Have You Heard?

I hope this finds you having a great week so far!

This is a photo of Lake Norman here in Mooresville, NC for those of you who are not local. My kids and I sat here last week to have a little outdoor picnic and hang out. Even when it’s not the time for vacation, you have to do the right thing for your mental health and do something lovely and local!

This week I wanted to make sure you were aware of a new TSA regulation… so here’s a short and sweet article explaining what’s changed. Have a great week! -Sandy

New TSA Rule… Have you Heard?

Plain and simple: If you are traveling with a powder substance, TSA will be checking it out. For carry on bags, it should be limited to 12 ounces unless you want to put it into a separate bin or checking the powder substance.

Here’s the link to the official TSA policy

Any powdered substances are subject to inspection and screening. More than 12 ounces must be placed in its own bin at security.

Otherwise, 12 ounces or more you want to check it in your larger suitcase, and if you’re not checking, it has to be placed inside its own container like other items. Here’s another quick link to “What Can I Bring?” by the TSA. Exceptions to this rule? If it’s infant formula, cremated human remains, and medications, it is exempted from this rule.

That’s about it! Pretty simple and clear. I hope this has been helpful!
