Turks and Caicos continues its post-pandemic reopening to travelers. Their tourism officials say their tourism business has been bolstered by heavy interest with land tourists coming this summer & is preparing for more growth.

South Bank Turks & Caicos is scheduled to open this spring and will be a residential resort & marina located on Long Bay Beach, with 1-6 bedroom villa type residences with distinct decor and design features that allow guests to enjoy a relaxing waterfront lifestyle on vacation here.

Rock House by Grace Bay Resorts plans to open this spring as well, with 42 intimate cottages on Providenciales’ north shore.

Rock House will offer modern decor, panoramic views, customized jogging trails, a signature restaurant, bar, a cave lounge and a fitness center, & more amenities including a 100-foot infinity pool, a European-style beach blub.

Also set to start being built in 2022 is the Bight Hotel, which will offer a 45-foot-high unparalleled views of Grace Bay Beach from the tower. Also in the blueprints are an infinity pool, spa, yoga studio, distillery & rum bar, not to mention a garden-to-table dining venue offering produce from the farm on site!

Turks & Caicos’ newest luxury resort, The Ritz-Carlton, opened in June 2021 featuring 147 ocean view rooms and did I forget to mention that they offer 5 three-story penthouse suites, several dining options, a uniquely exclusive club concierge plus beach service, a Ritz-Carlton spa, and casino with traditional table games as well as a private catamaran for exclusive guest use!

Growth in Numbers of Visitors

Turks and Caicos reported an 18% visitor arrivals increase compared with pre-pandemic 2019 to 54,188 visitors in June. The territory’s July 2021 arrivals totaled 56,022 visitors, a 19 percent increase compared with July 2019. The Turks and Caicos hosted 41,734 visitors in August, a 15 percent increase compared with August 2019.
