Travel Tip Tuesday: 15 Things to Pack “Just in Case of”

#1 Spare, Collapsible bag

You never know if you’ll need a spare bag, whether one for wet/dirty items or for souvenirs! Or, maybe a bag you have now might get caught or ripped.

#2 Small protective & waterproof case

This can come in handy for very important things like as medications, AirPods, etc.

#3 Earplugs

You never know when a very unhappy baby with ear pressure upon take off or landing might give you a headache, or perhaps a chatty couple of folks behind you on the plane when you want to sleep may be part of your journey!

#4 Blister pads

These can be especially useful if you have new shoes or sensitive feet, or will be walking more than usual on your trip – these can be a lifesaver!

#5 Mini Iron

Travel friendly irons can save you in a pinch when your need to get the wrinkles out of something quick, and some are designed like a little hair flat iron to save you from even finding a surface to do it over!

#6 Wrinkle Release Spray

Just in case your favorite top gets a little wrinkled during your travel!

#7 Stain remover stick or spray

Same idea, different purpose – of course, having your best dress ruined by a drop of grease is nobody’s idea of success in travel-eating!

#8 Multi-device charging cable

The longer the better, I think – just in case that airport or hotel outlet is far from where you can sit or sleep.

#9 Emergency contact names and numbers

Names and numbers – on paper. What if your phone dies or gets broken, lost, or stolen? Would you have them memorized? If not, a back up is easy to do and smart! Same goes for financial information, such as log ins, and credit card numbers. And phone #s for your credit card company in case of loss/theft.

#10 Mini 1st aid kit

I would include bandages, disinfectant wipes, pain reliever, and any other medical issue you might find yourself in. I’d also recommend anti-diarrhea medication, caffeine pills and anything else you might particularly need.

#11 Photocopies of important things

I would include your passport, ID, credit cards, prescriptions, travel insurance – you can do so on a thumb drive too but sometimes a printed copy is more accessible.

#12 Plastic bags

#13 Essential toiletries

I’d include sunscreen, feminine supplies for women, extra contacts/supplies, hand sanitizer, and anything else you can’t live without.

#14 Extra masks

That’s a given these days!

#15 Cash

You can never go wrong having a bit of cash on you – in a good safe spot, of course! Preferably in your country of travel’s currency.
